(1) Cutting tools
Carbide is used in all kinds of cutting tools. Due to its high hardness and strong compression properties, cemented carbide is the best material choice for cutting tools. The consumption of cemented carbide in China's cutting tools accounts for about one-third of the total output value of cemented carbide. It is still dominated by welding tools, and the cemented carbide used in CNC tools accounts for about 20%, and it is growing rapidly. There are other carbide drill bits, carbide rods, carbide rotary files and other tools. Carbide is the most widely used cutting tool material.
(2) Geological mining tools
The total amount of cemented carbide in geological and mineral cemented carbide accounts for about 30% of the total amount of alloy production. Due to its high hardness, strong impact toughness, bending strength and wear resistance, cemented carbide is usually used in geological exploration drilling RIGS, oil and gas drilling RIGS, cone drilling RIGS and shearer teeth, engineering road digging tools, impact drilling RIGS in building materials industry and other specific industries.
(3) tungsten steel mold material
Under normal circumstances, the proportion used to make various molds is about 8%. Such as drawing die, cold heading die, cold stamping die, cold extrusion die, hot forging die, drawing tube mandrel, etc., such die accounts for about 3% of the total output of cemented carbide. Generally, the cemented carbide dies used in the mold have medium cobalt and high cobalt as well as medium grain and coarse grain grades.
(4) wear-resistant parts
Tungsten carbide is used in the manufacture of wear resistant parts, including tungsten carbide nozzles, tungsten carbide balls, valve seats, logging parts, valve internals, tungsten carbide tire skid nails, tungsten carbide guide rails, etc.
